I found name-brand makeup for $1.25 at Dollar Tree – it’s hiding in plain sight, you’ll miss it if you don’t look close
A BEAUTY lover on a budget has found her favorite makeup brand buys for just over a buck.
And it's all thanks to her successful treasure hunt at Dollar Tree.
"Y'all, so Dollar Tree is at again, hiding name brand makeup in plain packaging, and this time they kind of take it to the next level," said Erica Miller (@onecutecouponer).
They might have been acting sneakily, but this bargain hunter who enjoys teaching others how to shop smarter wasn't complaining about the cost.
"If you're not looking you will miss it. Look, Covergirl eyeshadow palettes hiding in plain sight," she said, hardly containing her excitement.
And the shopping trip was just getting started.
Next up, she found a full-size Covergirl foundation that she was definitely not paying full price for - and the surprises kept on coming.
The brand's Trublend foundation retails for over $11 at other stores.
They could keep their pricey packaging.
"If that wasn't enough look right here, Maybelline foundation, soft matte full-size, right here in unmarked packaging."
The dream velvet makeup also sold for over three times the $1.25 price tag at other retailers.
Erica was still reeling from the budget buys.
"I can't believe I found so many name brands hidden in Dollar Tree for only $1.25!"
Her scavenger hunt also resulted in the finding of a Rimmel London foundation - and lots more.
She certainly nailed it with her next find.
"They have Sally Hansen nail polish right there, just like that."
It seemed that Erica wasn't the only one who had made similar dollar discoveries.
"I know I have found lots of name brand stuff at Dollar Tree!" shared this follower.
"I found a Milani foundation there once," another viewer chimed in to tell of her own frugal find.
Making sure not to miss anything, she scanned the shelves until she came upon more name brands, including gel polishes from Kiss.
Her trip turned out to be one money saving success.
And she had only one thing left to say.
"Make sure you run to your local Dollar Tree and keep your eyes open because you never know what you're going to find."
