Brighton vs Man City LIVE SCORES: Premier League latest from Amex ahead of Liverpool vs Villa as Brentford win – updates

  • 15 - Brighton 0-0 Man City

Cracking save from Verbruggen but Savinho HAS to score there.

The Brazilian has started the game ever so well and Estupinan would be as well sat beside me watching this.

Kovacic slides the winger in and his first touch is immaculate across the Brighton man and bears down on goal but from only seven or eight yards he gives the keeper a chance to make the save.

He diverts it behind for a corner. Great play but should be 1-0!

  • 13 - Brighton 0-0 Man City

A couple of offsides in quick succession for Brighton as they start to grow into the game.

The latter seeing Mitoma have a shot from the penalty spot which ends up well wide in the end.

  • 10 - Brighton 0-0 Man City

Verbruggen put under pressure with the ball at his feet.

And in trying to switch the play he kicks it straight to Matheus Nunes, though the keeper's lucky the City man was off balance when bringing it down, allowing the Seagulls defence to clear it.

Poor from the keeper, City will know that will be playing on his mind now...

  • 6 - Brighton 0-0 Man City

Gundogan unlucky with an attempted through ball for Haaland which is well cut out.

A high Brighton line with City controlling much of the play so far.

  • From Jordan Davies at the Amex Stadium

THE teams are out at the Amex Stadium to the tune of “Right Here, Right Now”.

Manchester City certainly need to end their woeful form right here and right now if they are to keep chase with league leaders Liverpool.

Three losses on the spin in all competitions, conceding eight goals. It is very un-City like, isn’t it? Only once in Pep Guardiola’s tenure have they gone winless for four straight games.

As for Brighton, they can go within four points of City and climb briefly into the top four if they pull off some more magic after four wins in their opening 10 outings.

Pep has an almighty bench to choose from if things aren’t going swimmingly, with Nathan Ake, Bernardo Silva, Manu Akanji and the returning Kevin De Bruyne.

    Here we go.

  • City shape

A back three for Manchester City, with Walker, Simpson-Pusey and Gvardiol along the back line.

A five across the middle of Nunes, Gundogan, Lewis, Kovacic and Savinho.

And just the one striker. But it's not a bad one to have as Erling Haaland leads the line.

  • KICK OFF! Brighton 0-0 Manchester City

    The visitors get things underway.

Looking forward to this one, as should you be.

  • Remembrance

The two managers have laid a poppy wreath pitch side as the players gathering round the centre circle.

The Last Post is played as Brighton fans unveil a huge, stand-sized poppy display.

  • Looking for MOR

Matt O'Riley is named amongst the subs for Brighton.

Those that haven't seen him play, let me tell you. This boy's a baller.

He was injured a few minutes into his debut at the start of the campaign and this is him just back now.

  • On their way out

The players are heading out at the Amex in a tasty fixture.

Man City have lost their last three, surely it won't be four?

Well, the bookies are taking them on at around 3/4 in the prices. This is a cracking opportunity for Brighton you'd think...

  • Full time from Graeme Bryce at Molineux

Gary O'Neil should look forward to the international break - rather than an extended break - after winning the P45 derby!

The Wolves boss probably suspected this match was a win-or-bust one for him.

But goals from much-maligned Pablo Sarabia and Matheus Cunha eased the pressure as Wolves finally grabbed their first win of the season.

They stretched their winning run against Saints to six games on the spin to leave Russell Martin's side rock bottom of the Prem, as the heat returned to the losing boss.

Just as importantly for Wolves, was keeping their first clean sheet in 23 games, thanks to a stellar performance from veteran defender Craig Dawson.

However Saints must find a proven goalscorer fast or they are surely heading back to the Championship.

  • How we're looking

Fulham move up to sixth - just behind Arsenal and Chelsea on goal difference - after their win today.

Brentford are into the top half after coming from behind twice to beat Bournemouth, who blew the chance to join Fulham up in the top six.

Wolves move up to 18th with their win, putting Saints bottom of the table. Wolves now just a point behind Crystal Palace who are toiling.

  • Full time from Matt Hughes at the Gtech

Brentford fans left in raptures after Thomas Frank's side stole a five-goal thriller after twice going behind, but not even the most one-eyed Bournemouth fan could quibble at the thrills and spills they had witnessed.

Yoane Wissa got the crucial goals in each half - a header across goal and neat first-time finish - and is clearly relishing being Brentford's main man up front.

Bournemouth substitute Enes Ünal missed a great chance to equalise by hitting the bar with a header from close-range in the seventh minute of injury time, summing up a crazy afternoon.

  • FT! Wolves 2-0 Southampton

A huge, huge win for Gary O'Neil and Wolves, who move off the bottom of the table.

Southampton will debate that terrible VAR call to rule out a first half equaliser but they failed to find the target outwith that.

  • FT! Crystal Palace 0-2 Fulham

Harry Wilson thought he'd scored a second late on, only for VAR to rule it out.

He might care but Fulham won't mind too much, a dominant display and well deserved win at a toothless Palace.

  • FT! Brentford 3-2 Bournemouth

Another stormer at the Gtech, really really good once again.

Yoane Wissa the star of the afternoon again as the Bees clinch a great three points.

  • FT! West Ham 0-0 Everton

I did say they should've called this one off at half time...

Two poor sides playing out a poor game.

  • Fur coat, nae knickers

    71% possession for Southampton.

Zero shots on target for Southampton.

All good having lots of the ball but not a single attempt on target against the bottom side.

  • From Jack Rosser at the London Stadium

West Ham's changes have got them ont he ball a touch more but they are still managing to hand it over to Everton with alarming regularity.

A point against the Toffees will not be enough to cost Lopetegui his job, but when sides are struggling under a new manager there is usually enough to make you think it will click soon and they will get going.

It is hard to see any signs of that here.

  • 83 - GOAL! Crystal Palace 0-2 FULHAM

Game over - the super sub strikes again!

A minute after coming off the bench, HARRY WILSON is on the end of a clever Alex Iwobi pass as Fulham exploit the gaps in Palace's side.

Wilson takes a touch before firing through Henderson, who again is weak in keeping the ball out, hitting off him but still going in.

    Game over!

  • 76 - RED CARD! DAICHI KAMADA

Shocker of a challenge and Crystal Palace are down to ten men.

Clinton Morrison told Soccer Saturday: "He's playing him in centre mid but he's not a centre mid. He's been nowhere near good enough.

"It's a terrible tackle and I'm glad Tete is OK."

(Better pics will be available soon I hope...but that gives an idea!)

  • Team news from the Amex

Could be a stormer at the Amex, that's the hope anyway.

And the team news is in, with Simpson-Pusey in for his Premier League debut for Manchester City

Brighton XI: Verbruggen, Veltman, Van Hecke, Igor, Estupinan, Ayari, Hinshelwood, Mitoma, Georginio, Welbeck, Adringra

Man City XI: Ederson, Lewis, Walker, Simpson-Pusey, Gvardiol, Kovacic, Gundogan, Savinho, Foden, Nunes, Haaland

  • From Matt Hughes at the Gtech

Another thriller at Brentford, who have taken the lead for the first time after a frenetic start to the second half, which featured three goals in the space of 10 minutes.

First Justin Kluivert put Bournemouth ahead for the second time with a neat finish at the near-post following a one-two with Lewis Cook in the 49th minute, but Mikkel Damsgaard equalised within a minuet with a powerful left-foot shot.

Brentford then had a penalty appeal turned away by referee Darren Bond after Nathan Collins went down under pressure from Milos Kerkez.

The Bees finally went ahead in the 59th minute of a breathless encounter. Keane Lewis-Potter released Vitaly Janelt down the left, whose angled ball was met by Yoane Wissa, who scored with a first-time shot.

  • From Ian McCullough at Selhurst Park

Fulham are unfortunate to not be 2-0 up with an interminable VAR review ruling out what would have been an outstanding move for a second Emile Smith-Rowe goal.

In a move straight from Arsenal's vaunted Hale End Academy, Alex Iwobi's powerful run and pass found on-loan Gunner Reiss Nelson whose low cross was turned in by Smith Rowe from close range.

But a lengthy check taking over two minutes, deemed that Smith-Rowe was offside by the narrowest of margins when the cross came in from Nelson.

Fulham have dominated since the restart with Raul Jimenez volleying just over the bar. Marc Guehi's move into midfield was shelved at halftime by Palace boss Oliver Glasner with the England centre-back returning to his usual position.

Palace took the lead through Smith-Rowe and are good value for their lead.

Palace, without several key players, are very much playing on the counter-attack with JP Mateta having a shot palmed away by Bernd Leno.

  • From Graeme Bryce at Molineux

Ruben Neves addressed the Wolves faithful at half-time and urged them: "This is a time for everyone to be together and push for the side.

"I'm asking you just one thing, please bring this energy to the second half and get behind the team."

And how Wolves responded as Matheus Cunha, easily the best player on the park, left Aaron Ramsdale gasping with a screamer from 25 yards to put Wolves 2-0 up.

Saints are throwing the dice by bringing on Lesley Ugochukwu and Yukinari Sugawara.  But this game is Wolves' to lose now.
