Rachel Woolford is a boutique fitness studio owner, who hails from Leeds.

She is also one of 18 candidates who are hoping they have what it takes to be worthy of Lord Alan Sugar's £250,000 investment.

However, Rachel may find the group tasks on the programme somewhat challenging to deal with after revealing that she loves to be in as much control as possible.

Despite this, the hopeful candidate has recently learnt how to successfully delegate and will be hoping to put this into practise across her time on the show.

She said: "For a long time, I did absolutely everything in my business - teaching classes, payroll, cleaning, accounts - you name it, I was doing it.

"Once I learnt that it's OK to delegate and outsource some of these jobs, I started to scale my business."

When did Rachel Woolford start her fitness studio?

Rachel first launched her business at the heart of Covid.

Since then, the boutique fitness studio owner has overcome the struggles that came with operating in the business world during that time.

Prior to appearing on The Apprentice 2024, she confessed: “I have no doubt that starting up during Covid made me a tougher person all round."

During an interview with Excelle Magazine in 2022, Rachel shared a glimpse into her life and career as fitness studio owner.

She explained: ''Experiencing the fitness market in London, New York and LA and following the industry data that group fitness classes were in higher demand than ever, I felt Leeds was missing out on something.

''The big commercial gyms weren’t delivering what consumers were looking for any more.

''Consumers demanded flexibility in how to pay for their gym and variability in types of group exercise classes on offer.

I couldn’t believe North Leeds had nothing like this so with a huge passion for business and fitness I viewed multiple units around Leeds eventually securing our premises in Roundhay''
