Levi Roots ‘told colleague he was alright for a gay guy’ as Reggae sauce millionaire joins Celeb Big Brother house
A FORMER colleague of housemate Levi Roots has claimed he once made a questionable comment towards him during a swanky dinner.
The Reggae Reggae Sauce creator, 65, is said to have told a PR working on his cookbook he was “all right for a gay guy”.
According to the PR called Alex, the comment was made during a dinner to celebrate successfully completing a UK book tour.
On seeing Levi enter the house, Alex tweeted: “Years ago, I worked in PR for the publisher of Levis Roots’ first cookbook and went out for dinner with him at the end of the book tour and during dessert he told me I was ‘alright for a gay guy’. Bless, happy memories.”
He added to his 7,000 followers: “It was actually maybe his second book. His first was published by HarperCollins I think, for whom I did not work.”
Dad-of-eight Levi, whose real name is Keith Valentine Graham, rose to fame after pitching his hot sauce on hit BBC series Dragons’ Den in 2007.

He accepted an offer of £50,000 for a 40 per cent stake in his business from Dragons Peter Jones and Richard Farleigh.
Levi is now estimated to be worth £30million.
On his work ethic, Levi has said: “I’m hoping they [my children] are inspired by what their dad has done.
“I’ve got to be a shining example for them.
“Now, I am the best Levi Roots I can be.”
