At least 28 dead including children as bus plunges into ravine after tyre burst in horror crash Pakistan
AT LEAST 28 people are dead including children after a bus careened into a ravine in Pakistan.
The passenger bus veered off a road after one of its tyres went bust, causing the driver to lose control.
Horrific images show the crumpled wreck of the bus after it plunged from the bridge on Wednesday.
According to reports Pakistani officials have said 22 more were left hurt after the crash.
The tragic accident happened in Washuk, western Pakistan this morning.
Emergency services raced to the scene and rushed the injured to a hospital nearby.
Around 22 of those people later succumbed to their injures.
Some who are in critical condition had to be taken to a different hospital in the large city of Quetta.
Footage from the scene shows the upturned bus lying in the ravine.
The bus was taking people from Gwadar to Quetta.
Prime minister Shehbaz Sharif shared his condolences with the families of those who died.
He said: "We stand with the mourning families in this difficult time and express our heartfelt sympathy."
