U.S. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said the United States does not support an Israeli reoccupation of Gaza after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated his country seeks to control the Philadelphi Corridor, a key buffer zone along the border of Gaza and Egypt. “We’ve heard what Prime Minister Netanyahu has said, we just take a fundamentally different view here in terms of what post-conflict Gaza needs to look like,” Kirby said during an interview with ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
