Heidi Montag says she copied Spencer Pratt’s skincare routine including $22 cleanser – he also helps her avoid breakouts
THE couple that does their skincare routine together stays together.
At least that's what seems to be working for former reality stars Heidi Montag and her husband Spencer Pratt.
LOVE 'N LOTIONS
Their romance might have played out on the MTV reality show The Hills, but Heidi and Spencer are determined to keep on top of their skincare routines so that they don't look over the hill any time soon.
You might think Heidi, who famously underwent ten surgeries in 2010 at just 23, would be the one imparting her beauty wisdom on Spencer, but it's just the opposite.
"I actually copy Spencer's skincare routine," Heidi, 37, told The U.S. Sun.
"When I met him he had — and has — the best skin of anyone I've met," she continued.
The mom of two has publicly spoken out about her "regrets" over getting so many body altering procedures - including a brow lift, chin reduction, and breast augmentation.
But she would never go back to a normal routine after her skincare glow-up.
When it comes to her flawless complexion at least, there's no surgery required.
"He's really regimented about his skincare and cleanliness," she said of Spencer. 40.
She decided to take a page from his perfect skin playbook and has put her freshest forward for the cameras ever since.
"We actually use the same products," she said.
GETTING REAL ABOUT THEIR ROUTINE
"I love Avene," Heidi said.
"I use all their products — I use their foam cleanser and their lotions."
Spencer divulged that he first discovered the brand because of his "sensitive skin."
Now they "use the same stuff," he confirmed to The U.S. Sun.
She would be holding her chin and I'd be like, 'You can't just be sitting their touching your face if you're not washing your hands first.

TALK TO THE HAND
Spencer also helped Heidi keep her hands to herself — or at least away from her face.
"The most basic thing is don't touch your face," he said.
"That was a habit when I first met Heidi — she was like a statue touching her face and she would get breakouts," he added.
"She would be holding her chin and I'd be like, 'You can't just be sitting their touching your face if you're not washing your hands first,'" he said.
Spencer also attributes his clear skin to eating clean, working out, using sunscreen, and keeping hydrated.
