According to police, the four victims, aged between 26 and 37, suffered head and limb injuries. They were rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital in Kwai Chung for treatment.

The source said it was possible the four victims were not strangers to the attackers, and that the two groups had previous arguments.

Detectives from the Kwai Tsing anti-triad squad are investigating the case.

Between January and May this year, police handled 787 reports of triad-related crime, up 6.2 per cent from the 741 cases logged in the same period in 2023.

The city recorded 4,237 cases of violent crime in the first five months of this year, a 9.4 per cent increase from the 3,872 reports in the same period last year.
