One eagle-eyed bargain hunter spotted the delicacy at Premier's Green Lane convenience store in Birkenhead, and quickly shared a snap online.

The 90g sweet treat comes with 8 pieces of coconut filled milk chocolate pieces.

The post, shared in the Food Finds UK Facebook group, caused a stir among chocoholics.

One excited shopper tagged a friend, and said: “Go find it xx.”

Another simply wrote: “Omg I need this.”

Fans of the bubbly chocolate bar are now racing to their nearest Premier store in hopes of finding it.

It’s not yet clear if the new flavour is available in major supermarkets or just in select stores.

Convenience stores often get new and limited-edition products before larger chains stock them.

Those desperate to try the new flavour may want to check their nearest Premier shop before stocks run out.

Aero, made by Nestlé, is known for its signature bubbly texture and range of flavours.

The brand has previously launched special editions such as Aero Strawberry and Aero Caramel.

Some limited-edition treats have been known to sell out fast, so it pays to act quickly.

The chocolate bars fans would most love to see make a return

In 2022 a survey commissioned by Jackpotjoy asked 2,000 participants which retro chocolates they'd most like to have in their 'dream selection box'. The top 10 were:

  • Cadbury Dream – 8%
  • Cadbury Marble – 7.9%
  • Cadbury Aztec – 7.8%
  • Cadbury Time Out – 6.9%
  • Milky Way Crispy Rolls – 6.2%
  • Kit Kat Caramac – 5.9%
  • Mars Delight – 5.7%
  • Cadbury Fuse – 5.6%
  • Cadbury Astro – 5.3%
  • Fox’s Echo – 3.6%

Elsewhere, shoppers have been racing to B&M after spotting Cadbury’s Daim Eggs back on shelves for just £1.50.

The Easter treat made its return after the Christmas version, Dairy Milk Robins, was discontinued – leaving shoppers gutted.

Recently, Morrisons slashed the price of a number of its big packs of Cadbury chocolates to just 87p.

The chocolates include Bitsa Wispa, Crunchie Rocks, Oreo Bites, and Cadbury Animals, all going for a fraction of their usual price.

The 110g bags of sweet treats usually range anywhere between £1.75 to £2 at the major supermarkets.

Whilst Farmfoods had dropped the price of Celebrations 550g tubs to just £2.99 earlier in March.

B&M shoppers were shocked to see Perky Nanas, usually only sold in New Zealand, now being sold at the discount store for just £1.

The soft banana-flavoured 45g chew bar comes covered with Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate.

Sweet-toothed customers were quick to post the find on Facebook after realising it was a rehash of the full bar sold in the mid-2000s.

How to save money on chocolate

We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs...

Go own brand - if you're not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for the supermarket's own brand bars.

Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced.

They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.

So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
