Jordan Henderson could be handed his first England start since November 2023 against Andorra.
The former Liverpool captain, now at Ajax, is set to be named in the starting XI for the World Cup qualifier at Espanyol’s stadium.
Henderson, 34, has 83 caps, could start while Declan Rice is expected to be rested.
Reece James could play out of position at left-back with midfielder Curtis Jones at right-back.
Chelsea’s Noni Madueke may well start up front with Harry Kane and Cole Palmer.
Atletico Madrid’s Conor Gallagher has been left out of the matchday squad but could face Senegal in Nottingham on Tuesday.
Ollie Watkins is injured and has returned home. Bukayo Saka has a thigh problem but could also face Senegal.
