‘You’ve solved the biggest pet peeve’, drivers gush after discovering £1.50 hack to clean foggy windscreen
DRIVERS have gushed over a £1.50 hack to clean a foggy windscreen - solving their "biggest pet peeve".
A video revealed the moment a man turned a gift from his mum into a device for cleaning smog from the inside of a windscreen.
The video, posted by grovercollins, shows the driver using an eraser to clear his windscreen.
The eraser featured a message which read: "We heard that these classroom erasers work wonders cleaning the smog from the inside of your windshield so we tried it and it works so we decided to share this hack enjoy."
And the driver was stunned after trying out the hack - saying: "Son of a b***h it works."
Commenters were stunned by the impressive video, with one writing: "You’ve solved the biggest pet peeve of my entire life! Tell momma thank you."
Whiteboard cleaners can cost as little as £1.50 each on Amazon.
Meanwhile, Motorist Lifehacker recommends to apply shaving foam to the outside of your vehicle.
The car expert said: "This works because the soap - which is really what does the job - creates a protective film over the glass that keeps it from fogging.
"A little goes a long way, all you need is a dab or two - even on your car's windshield."
All you need to do is to apply the shaving cream in your windscreen and then wipe it off after 10 minutes.
With a clean towel you can wipe the area by placing a dollop of shaving foam onto it.
Then take another clean towel and wipe off the shaving foam completely.
This protective barrier should help stop your windscreen from misting up, but it will need to be regularly reapplied to continue to work.
The product acts as a protective barrier for a long time - but it will need to be reapplied regularly.
