Urgent manhunt launched after woman in her 20s ‘raped in an alleyway’ in Stratford as cops share CCTV image

POLICE are asking for the public's help to identify a man after a woman was raped in London.

The Met Police is now investigating the reported rape after a woman in her 20s reported the attack in an alleyway in Medals Way, Stratford.

The attack happened at approximately 6.30pm on Thursday, 25 January.

The man was described as being tall, slim, and in his 20s.

A CCTV image of the man police want to name shows him wearing a black tracksuit and a beige cap.

He also has black facial hair and a satchel.

The woman is being supported by specially trained officers.

Detective Constable Ben Dailey said: "We have carried out a number of enquiries, including recovering CCTV from around the area.

"As a result of this, we are releasing two images of a man we would like to identify. I would ask anyone who recognises him to come forward immediately."

Anyone who can help the investigation team is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 6672/25Jan. Information can also be shared online.
