STEPH McGovern has been flooded with support as she shared a 'first day back at work' post after the Channel 4 show was axed.

The English journalist broke down in tears during her last-ever episode of the popular programme in December.

Back in October the Sun revealed that Channel 4 axed Steph's Packed Lunch.

But now Steph has given fans an update as she shared her 'first day back to work' with her followers on X/Twitter.

She penned along with a smiley selfie of her outside 10 Downing Street : "First day back at work. A bit different from my usual hang out….."

Fans quickly rallied to show their support for Steph, expressing their longing for the Channel 4 show.

One wrote: "Really missing everyone at Packed Lunch. Four in a Bed is no replacement and I refuse to watch Loose Women! I'd vote for you for Prime Minister!"

A second added: "Is that your new work place? Probably do a better job. Vote Steph."

A third commented: "Need your Packed Lunch programme back. I loved it Steph."

A fourth added: "Miss Packed Lunch, you, the team, guests, lunch mates but most of all the brilliant show it was."

A fifth wrote: "Massively missing packed lunch. Hope we see you back on TV soon."

During the last-ever episode of Steph's Packed Lunch, Steph couldn't contain her emotions as the instalment started to wrap up about around 2pm.

As she composed herself, at the time, she said: "Save me, save me!"

Her co-star then read out some bits for viewers to listen to and she wiped a tear from her face.
