High-tech clinic where Fergie is recovering after cancer shock promises celebs it’ll ‘shed burdens of the soul’
THE clinic where Sarah Ferguson is recovering after her latest cancer shock is a favourite of celebs and promises to help "shed the burdens of the soul".
The Duchess of York was diagnosed with an aggressive form of skin cancer just six months after receiving treatment for breast cancer last year.
The Sun exclusively revealed that one of a number of moles removed from her body during her mastectomy operation had been discovered to be a form of malignant melanoma.
Fergie, 64, was said to be "in good spirits" but finding the diagnosis, which came through just after Christmas, "distressing".
It is understood that she is currently recuperating at the high-tech MAYRLIFE Clinic in Altausee, Austria.
The state-of-the-art wellness centre is a favourite of A-list celebs, with Aussie actress Rebel Wilson crediting it as part of her "year of health".

The film star posted about her visit on social media in 2022, saying: "Working the Mayr method to reset my system for the rest of the working year."
Supermodels Naomi Campbell and Karlie Kloss have also been known to be regular visitors.
Set amongst stunning Alpine scenery, the clinic promises to help its clients "shed the burdens of the soul", with a strict focus on health and wellbeing.
According to Womens' Health Magazine, the treatment plan is based on "Dr F. X. Mayr's traditional medicine, combined with outstanding medical expertise, advanced technology and an extensive range of therapies."
The clinic also specialises in "detoxification and purification programs that reactivate the body’s self-healing powers and strengthen the immune system".
Techniques include supplement regimes, strict dieting and even bloodletting followed by transfusions.
On its website, it promises to start patients on a "journey to lasting health" and a "life-transforming experience".
The news is the latest health blow to the Royal Family, following the hospitalisation of both the Princess of Wales and the King.
Princess Kate was admitted to The London Clinic in Marylebone last week to undergo "abdominal surgery".
Her doting husband Prince William has cleared his schedule to visit her during the recovery process.
The King, meanwhile, announced that he would go to hospital for an elective procedure to treat an enlarged prostate.
The 75-year-old monarch will postpone public engagements for a short period in the wake of the operation to give him time to recuperate.
