Rhona Goskirk takes drastic action over baby Ivy in Emmerdale
AFTER meeting baby Ivy, Rhona Goskirk is struggling to maintain her boundaries for the sake of her marriage with Marlon Dingle.
The Emmerdale vet played by Zoë Henry continues to spiral next week as she takes action to get closer to the tot.
Gus Malcolms (portrayed by Alan McKenna) has been overwhelmed by fatherhood following the death of his wife Lucy.
Unexpectedly, Rhona stepped in to help alongside her mother Mary (Louise Jameson) and the pair have welcomed Ivy and Gus in Smithy Cottage - despite Marlon Dingle's (Mark Charnock) reluctance to comply.
Marlon has realised that Rhona's bond with Ivy could become stronger with time and eventually cause trouble in their marriage.
But in scenes airing next week on ITV, Rhona is moved to see Marlon bonding with Ivy.
More Emmerdale
Unbeknownst to the chef, Rhona managed to convince Gus to leave baby Ivy with them while he wrapped his head around his new and unfortunate situation.
She then confesses to having a deep conversation with Gus about leaving Ivy with them and justifies her actions during a chat with her mother Mary.
However, Mary tries to give her a reality check and advises her to prepare for Ivy's departure.
Rhona consults solicitor Ethan Anderson (Emile John) about gaining custody, determined to keep the baby she never knew she wanted.
At home, chaos ensues as Mary and Marlon tend to Ivy, and they're shocked when Gus unexpectedly arrives.
Rhona, returning home to find Gus there, realises she has some explaining to do when he reveals they've been in communication.
