But as Gemma's happy helpers put her tree up, it collapsed on them, and started shedding pines everywhere.

They then struggled to get the tree straight, with the former Towie star even revealing she had to enlist her neighbour's help.

Gemma could then be heard saying: "The tree just collapsed! Tree down! Tree down!"

If that wasn't bad enough, GC's dog was then caught on camera tucking into a fluffy decoration.

This whole situation caused Gemma to wail: "It's a total disaster!"

Today's festive spirit is in contrast to Gemma recently revealed she won’t be buying anyone Christmas presents this year – despite being worth millions.

The GC admitted she has turned full-on Grinch this year and has decided it’s time to scale back during the festive season.

Gemma declared: “I’m not interested in Christmas this year, I won’t be buying anyone gifts and have asked people not to buy them for me. We have all got enough.”

Explaining why, she told new!: “There are a few reasons.

"Firstly, I don’t like the culling of turkeys, then I’m also a humanitarian and don’t like what’s going on in the world at the minute.

"Finally, I’m fortunate enough that it's Christmas every day for me, it’s like it’s my birthday every day. So it’s about giving back.”

The star added: “People out there are starving and we can’t just ignore it.

"The real message about Christmas is spending quality time with your family and appreciating these moments.

"People need to learn the art of having nothing and being happy.”

Her rant about turkeys comes after she looked to embrace veganism.

She has raved about a brand called Vegan Fried Chicken - of VFC - saying they have "changed everything".

Gemma shared: “My vegan journey to sum it up has been slow and gradual.

"However, when you have a product like VFC it makes every day and every mealtime just simply amazing.”

Gemma has also stated that she’s already “sick” of seeing people with their decorations up already, begging: “Let’s just live for November.”

The former Only Way Is Essex star has made similar declarations in the past and last year spoke about keeping things small because of the cost of living crisis.

It didn’t however stop her from getting a private chef in for the day as she celebrated with fiancé Rami Hawash and her family.
