Get ready for the Amazon Boxing Day sale

We don't have the official green light from Amazon yet, but there are no surprises when the Amazon Boxing Day sale is due to launch.

It's expected to kick off the day after Christmas (Dec 26th) and run up until the end of the year. Though we've seen it extended well into January in the past.

The retail giant is one of the leading names to take part in the Boxing Day sales, and we're looking forward to seeing price drops on everything from big-name brands to Amazon's own devices.

Boxing Day sales

While the sale isn't quite here yet, there are plenty of deals to be had in the meantime, across gaming, tech gadgets, and more.

In fact, just this week we've seen shoppers rush to buy a ‘sharp, bright’ 24-inch TV reduced from £169 to £129.

And others grabbing the ‘sleek and stylish’ £80 smartwatch now scanning for £25, which is a perfect gift with Christmas on the horizon.

We've listed some of the best deals you can find right now in time for Christmas before we gear up for the Boxing Day bargains.

By then, we're expecting the best discounts on Amazon tech, like Echo Dots and Ring Doorbells - head to our Amazon device deals page to see what's on sale right now.

Of course, we will be hard at work finding the best deals and rounding them up below, and we'll keep this page updated with all the latest discounts we spot.

Live Amazon deals

We're a couple of weeks post-Black Friday, which saw some impressive price drops from Amazon.

Now we will see the Christmas deal popping up, with the next sale in the retail calendar being the Amazon Boxing Day sale.

When does the Amazon Boxing Day sale 2023 start?

Amazon has not officially stated when its Boxing Day sale will kick off, but we anticipate it will fall on 26th December.

However, in previous years some retailers have started their Boxing Day sales in advance of Boxing Day, with some landing on Christmas Day, or earlier.

The Amazon sale will normally feature a selection of offers across all categories, with lightning deals that last for a very limited time and longer running offers.

Check back for more information on Amazon's Boxing Day sales, because as soon as we know more about Amazon's Boxing Day sales we will let you know.

What Amazon Boxing Day sale deals to expect?

If early bird deals are anything to go by, we would say some of the most impressive savings will be on Amazon's own devices.

Shoppers in the market for some new smart home accessories or streaming devices should keep an eye out come January.

Elsewhere we expect some top brands to also feature in the discounts, with bargains on offers from Samsung, Philips, Apple, Nintendo, and more.

Bargain-hunters will also likely see plenty of fashion and beauty savings too, such as Sanctuary Spa, Elemis, as well as Revlon.

Here are some of the top categories to shop in the sale:

When does the Amazon Boxing Day sale end?

We have yet to learn when Amazon's Boxing Day sales will kickstart, though we anticipate it will be 26th December.

And we predict the Boxing Day sale will run until the end of December, potentially stretching into the New Year.

In previous years, Amazon has launched a January sale that runs after Boxing Day sales and all the way through to January 31st, so there will be plenty of opportunity to bag savings.

If you didn't quite get what you hoped for this Christmas, the Boxing Day sales are the perfect time to spend any money or gift vouchers received and save on hot-ticket items on many of Amazon's own devices, like Echo Dots and Kindles.

How much is Amazon delivery?

Keep in mind that you'll also need to factor in delivery costs unless you're an Amazon Prime customer, in which case delivery is free.

Amazon Prime membership costs £8.99 a month, or £95 for the year.

For non-members, delivery from Amazon varies from 99p for small packages, going up to £4.49.

How to get Amazon Prime for free?

Shoppers can try out Amazon Prime membership for free using the 30-day free trial offer.

Simply head to the Amazon site and create an account if you don't already have one.

Then head to the Amazon Prime page to click on the start your trial button.

However, it is worth noting that you can only take part in the trial if you have never signed up for Prime before.

Prime members get access to several perks including unlimited premium delivery, access to Prime Video and Amazon Music, Prime reading, and plenty of exclusive offers and deals.

What is Amazon's Christmas returns policy?

Amazon has, once again, extended its returns policy over the festive period.

Most items purchased between November 1 and December 31 can be returned until January 31, 2024.

Some items are eligible for free return collection, which you'll be able to check and track in the Your Orders section of your account.

You can read more about returns on the Amazon website here.
