I made $1 million by the age of 23, everyone assumes I have rich parents or a sugar daddy but I’m completely self-made
AFTER managing to rake in over a million dollars by the age of 23, one woman has shared her secret.
The TikToker detailed her road to financial success, and it's not what many expect.
In her video, Lily Zaremba (@thelilyzaremba) revealed the money-making venture that has allowed her to lead a luxury lifestyle.
She explained that many of her followers assume she has a sugar daddy or comes from a wealthy family.
"My parents are immigrants, my mother is from China and my father is from Poland," Lily told her audience.
After moving to Canada "to have a better life," Lily's parents worked hard to provide for her.
"They’d always say ‘Work hard, you’re going to be successful if you do that' but the math just wasn’t mathing for me," she explained.
Lara witnessed her family's financial struggles growing up from a constant flow of bills to fights over money.
"We were living in government housing and it would kill me to see my immigrant parents work so hard and sometimes get so mistreated by their bosses," she said.
"I just didn’t want to follow the same route as everyone else so [I got into] entrepreneurship and just making money for myself," Lara shared.
After various ventures including selling commissioned digital art online, she decided on a move that would help her whole family.
Lara explained that she was a 19-year-old college student when she became sick of the constant grind.
"I wanted to crack the code, I wanted to really start making money online," she said.
She looked at her mother's four-bedroom house and condo and realized they could make more money from short-term tenants.
Lara revealed that they were averaging $4,000 maximum renting out the properties each month but it came with "a lot of headaches."
She suggested to her mother that they list the properties on Airbnb and the two women invested $20,000 in elevating the spaces.
"I was in charge of interior design for the entire place on my own, I was looking at Pinterest for inspiration for room designs," she said.
Just four years after beginning their Airbnb venture, Lara has already made over a million dollars.
Her followers took to the comments section to share their thoughts on Lara's lavish lifestyle.
"Got to break generational curses and poverty mindset baby!!!" wrote one viewer.
