‘I want to vomit’ say BBC Breakfast viewers as they ‘switch off’ Jon Kay & Sally Nugent for CBeebies-style presenting

BBC Breakfast viewers admitted they were left ready '"to vomit" after today's programme.

Disgruntled fans were left seething with the show's hosts that they claimed were better suited to "play school TV".

Jon Kay and Sally Nugent were left with scathing reviews as BBC Breakfast returned to its usual output this morning after weeks off air thanks to countless Olympic schedule shake-ups.

The show has failed to air in full on BBC One in recent weeks after being shortened due to coverage of the sporting tournament and being shifted to BBC Two.

Sally and Jon were also ditched in favour of Ben Thompson and Sarah Thompson who took on hosting duties for the week.

But Jon and Sally have so far failed to impress upon the programme's return with fans switching off after their CBeebies-style presenting.

Giving it a furious review, one annoyed viewer said: "#bbcbreakfast with Jon Kay and Sally Nugent wouldn't be out of place on CBeebies. They present it as if it's the news for young kids."

Another added: "#bbcbreakfast this is news for 5 year olds. Silly Sally using that stupid voice again.

"This is more like Play School Breakfast TV."

A third fumed: "Lasted 2 minutes on #bbcbreakfast before having to switch off.

"Sally what’s her face with her sad, sympathy voice and woke nonsense.

"Just makes me want to vomit. It’s 8am Monday. Liven up and be more positive. Christ it’s depressing day after day. Sob story after sob story."

BBC Breakfast host goes solo in huge schedule and BBC channel shake-up

Guests on today's programme included glamour model Chloe Ayling ahead of the release of the hotly-anticipated drama surrounding her shocking kidnap.

The star received backlash after harsh critics insisted she had made up the horrific attack during her quest for stardom.

Chloe appeared on the red sofa to chat to Jon and sally about her ordeal and her hopes at the public finally believing her truth.

BBC Breakfast appears to finally be back on track after its continued shake-ups as a result of Jon and Sally returning to their allocated time.

Nina Warhurst was forced to present solo over the weekend after being left without a co-star.
