This will include a track that gained notoriety - but not in the most positive way.

20 years on from their controversial track, "Gay Bar" which was written by band member, Tyler Spencer, who went by the name Dick Valentine back in 2003 - Electric Six have reunited.

The song and music video got a lot of airplay, but the lyrics mentioning war were edited because they were perceived to have been offensive at the time.

This happened because the song came out when the Iraq War started.

Electric Six, a rock band from Detroit, made a big impact with their first single "Danger! High Voltage". It soared to No. 2 on the U.K. charts, shaking up the disco scene.

Dick Valentine, whose real name is Tyler Spencer, founded Electric Six with friends from his old high school.

The original lineup included Cory Martin on drums, Anthony Selph on lead guitar, Joe Frezza on rhythm guitar, and Steve Nawara on bass.

Since 2003, the band has experienced various changes in members, but Valentine has remained as the only consistent member.

Now the band members have reunited and they look unrecognisable.

The band posted a recent snapshot of themselves after one of their shows on their official Instagram account.

They have traded their distinctive beards for a clean-shaven appearance.

In addition, they now exude a more polished image, donning fitted suits and stylish attire.

The band shared more glimpses of their life on the road, performing at shows and behind the scenes spending quality time together, sightseeing in the wilderness.

They captioned the post: "Thank you for a Sunday night sellout, Grand Rapids! After some time off and a beautiful Michigan drive we roar into St Paul to rock the Twin Cities at @turfclubmn TONIGHT with @thesurfrajettes !Three shows left!"

Fans were left shocked at just how different the band members now look decades later.

One wrote: "Great to see you all still performing! You look great."

A second added: "Crazy to see how different you guys look now. Keep going! We are with you."

Electric Six have announced to their fans that they will be performing a UK tour in November this winter.

The tour dates stretch from November 27th in York, UK, all the way through December 10th in Brighton.

They posted details of dates and locations for their 13.4k followers.

Electric Six made the transition from indie label XL to Warner Bros. for their 2005 sophomore LP Señor Smoke.

However shortly after, the person who signed them left the company.

Ultimately, the band found their place on another independent label, Metropolis Records, where they have remained signed to this day.

The band has managed to stay on the road after twenty years, which is impressive.

“Other than Covid, the only time I had a sizable break was between Fire and Señor Smoke,” Valentine told Billboard.com

Valentine continued: “It was different then because the thought was like, ‘You’re gonna write more hits. You’re gonna go in and you’re gonna duplicate what you just did".

"Then that didn’t work out on the second album. We became much more of a DIY band, just home-recording, and that’s really worked for us. We’ve kind of built up a cult following that way. That was a weird time because it was the last time there was pressure to write a hit — which we’ve never had since then. And it feels great.”
