Fred Sirieix reveals moment he stopped I’m A Celeb rival QUITTING show – but it wasn’t shown on camera
FRED Sirieix has lifted the lid on the moment he stopped one of his campmates from walking out of the jungle.
The First Dates star, 38, has revealed he managed to convince his rival not to follow in the footsteps of Jamie Lynn Spears and Grace Dent, who both left on medical grounds.
But the dramatic scenes were never shown to viewers at home.
Speaking after his surprise exit on Tuesday night, Fred revealed that he talked Josie Gibson out of leaving the ITV1 show.
Fred, 51, explained: “When Jamie Lynn had her thing and she left, it affected Josie a lot.
“She just wanted to leave.

“I was speaking to her and I said, ‘Your son is five years old and the one who feels guilty is you’.
“I understand and recognise the guilt, the children don’t feel the guilt. I said you are the only one who is feeling guilty, you need to get it out of your head.”
Although Josie's near exit was never aired, fans of I'm A Celebrity did previously see the This Morning star feeling homesick for her son Reggie.
Last Friday, she broke down in tears while speaking about her little boy in. camp.
Overcome with emotion, 38-year-old Josie headed into the dunny and began sobbing.
Former EastEnders star Danielle Harold checked on her and asked her what was wrong.
A tearful Josie replied: “I just miss my little boy. I shouldn’t have ever left him this long.”
Comforting the former Big Brother winner, Danielle told her: “100 per cent you should, you’re showing him that you’re a strong mum, strong woman. So proud of you babe.”
Josie then took herself off to the Bush Telegraph and tearfully admitted feeling "very guilty" for doing the show.
She explained: “Just had a little wobble. You just feel very guilty. I’ll never leave him this long again, ever.”
Prior to heading Down Under, Josie told The Sun how she had prepared Reggie for being away from her.
The telly presenter told us: “I’ve done him a lot of videos before I left and also I’ve explained everything that I possibly can to him ever since I signed up.
“So, each morning we’ve been waking up and he says, ‘Mummy are we going to Australia now?’ And I go, ‘Not yet Reg’ and he’s going, ‘When are we going into the jungle?’"
The plan was for Reggie to stay with Josie’s family initially before being part of the group that flew out to Australia midway through the series’ run.
