A DIY enthusiast has shared her super simple pool noodle hack that’ll brighten up your home in an instant.

It’s all thanks to Vickii McCorquodale’s DIY project, which involved using bargain buys from B&Q and B&M.
Vickii recently took to social media to show off her project and it left many open-mouthed.
Posting on DIY On A Budget Official, a private Facebook group with 2.2 million members, Vickii explained how she used a pool noodle and faux flowers to give her hanging light a makeover.

Alongside her post, Vickii shared a very straightforward step-by-step method.
For step one of this process, you’ll need to “measure and mark the noodle/pipe cover to line up with your wire.”
Next, you “cut a slit half way through the noodle.”
Following this, for step three, simply “open the slit to attach to the wire/cable.”
Then, for step four, you must “add some glue to secure”, and Vickii confirmed that she used a glue gun for this part of the process.
And for the last step - the fun part - all you have to do is “attach the flowers how you please”.
Vickii confirmed that she “added glue to the tips of the heavier flowers” before she attached them.
Vickii revealed that she used faux flowers which she bought from B&M, and a pool noodle/pipe cover, which she found in B&Q.
Vickii’s hanging light was from Next and she acknowledged that she already had the light fitting in her home prior to starting the project.
We think Vickii’s display looks fabulous and it’s no surprise that she is “delighted with the result.”
The DIY guru confirmed that her project cost her “around £30”, making this renovation idea a brilliant, affordable solution for those strapped for cash.
