AFTER 16 days of the best athletes in the world competing for ultimate glory, today marks the final day of the Paris 2024 Olympics.
And as the world says "au revoir" to France, Paris has one last spectacle to offer with its closing ceremony.
The opening ceremony saw athletes showed off along the river Seine before Celine Dion performed a moving score at the Eiffel Tower.
However, the closing ceremony will take a more traditional approach by staying in the Stade de France, which played host to rugby sevens and athletics.
For tonight's glamorous ceremony, the stadium has been turned into a concert hall with a 2,800m2 stage.
It is not expected to finish until 10.15pm, meaning that from 8pm every nation will have the chance to say goodbye to the Paris crowd which has cheered them on throughout.
