Strictly fix row as Anton Du Beke is accused of ‘overscoring’ celeb on Christmas special
FURIOUS Strictly fans have accused Anton Du Beke of overscoring Nadiya Bychkova and her celebrity partner during the Christmas special.
Nadiya took to the dance floor with historian Dan Snow and performed a jive routine to Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You.
The routine failed to set the dance floor alight and they ended up with the lowest score of the evening – 30.
But while the Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Head Judge Shirley Ballas all gave them a seven, Anton Du Beke surprised everyone with a nine.
Those watching at home rushed to comment on it, with one person writing: “Not anton with the 9 after everyone else gave 7s.”
Another added: “I forgot about the stupidly inflated Christmas scores.”

While a third simply wrote: “9?!?!?!”
And someone else said: “I remember why I’m not a fan of Strictly Christmas. The judges overly-sugary comments and some of their high scores are totally unwarranted. It’s a mockery of the main show.”
The Christmas special was won by EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick, who lifted the Silver Star trophy alongside his professional dance partner Nancy Xu after a vote by the BBC One celebrity dance show's audience and judges.
Speaking afterwards Jamie, 29, said: "This is great, it's been a wonderful experience, but we're all winners here. This show is magic."
He beat BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent, historian Dan Snow, rugby union player Danny Cipriani, The Teacher star Tillie Amartey and Sugababes singer Keisha Buchanan.
