Reddit down: Thousands of users get ‘internal server error’ message as app and website ‘not working’
THOUSANDS of users have been unable to access social media site Reddit in what appears to be a global outage.
More than 6,300 reported instances of connection issues were reported in the UK at around 7.05pm this evening, according to website Downdetector.
When trying to load the site, users are met with a message on a blank page.
The failed connection reads: "Internal server error."
Of the 6,339 recorded issues with the site, 60 per cent were reported for failures to connect on the Reddit app.
37 per cent of the issues were cited to be with the social media giant's website.

Countless frustrated users have taken to other social media sites following the outage.
One user on X said: "Is Reddit down for everyone else or is it just me?"
Another in the Netherlands exclaimed: "Reddit down - 'internal server error'.
"Can't get to anything - profiles, posts, subs, nada."
A frustrated third user said: "Is anyone else struggling with Reddit at the moment?"
Some others have, however, seen the lighter side of things, with one saying: "Reddit is down?
"Time to go outside and remember what sunlight feels like."
There have also been reported issues with social media site X, with thousands of users saying they have been unable to access the app and website.
One user on X said: "Both Twitter and Reddit are down.
"Probably an attack."
Another added: "Twitter and Reddit go down at the same time.
"Something ain't right."
