Glamorous couple flaunted lavish holidays & designer gear on social media after stealing £250k from gym-goers’ lockers
A GLAMOROUS couple flaunted their lavish lifestyle on social media after stealing £250,000 from the lockers of gym-goers.
Ashley Singh, 39, and Sophie Bruyea, 20, used their ill-gotten gains to head on luxury holidays in Dubai and the Amalfi Coast.
They also bought a pedigree puppy and splurged on designer clothing as they enjoyed the trappings of their sick crimes.
The pair delved into lockers at gyms across London and the South-East in a year-long rampage.
Singh and Bruyea stole bank cards from 18 victims in total, who were left with massive financial stress after their accounts were maxed out.
They were both convicted of conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation between January 2022 and January 2023.

Singh was locked up for three years, while Bruyea was handed a 20 month sentence suspended for two years.
The Met Police confirmed the couple would strike while their unassuming victims were exercising.
They then went on shameless shopping sprees to buy expensive tech and clothes from designer stores such as Prada.
Singh and Bruyea flaunted their wealth on social media - often posing together on flash holidays around the world.
This included a trip to Dubai's most iconic hotel the Burj Al Arab, as well as photos in front of flashy motors.
Bruyea also posted a string of TikTok videos where she showed off her lavish lifestyle.
Meanwhile, their victims - 14 from London, one from Sussex, one from Hertfordshire and two from Cambridgeshire - were under huge stress after their accounts were drained.
The "wicked" crime spree finally came to an end when a police officer noticed a pattern.
A team from the Met Police then traced the pair’s phones, cars, and faces on CCTV.
Singh and Bruyea were arrested at Gatwick as they returned from Paris with 2,000 Euros worth of designer goods.
Det Con Luis Martins Da Silva, from the Met’s economic crime team, said: "We know Londoners are worried about theft. It’s a horrible crime, and it causes a lot of stress, pain, and financial loss. That’s why we take this crime seriously and a whole team of us were committed to catching Singh and Bruyea.
"You couldn’t fail to be moved by the devastating impact their callous behaviour had on people, and we hope that by catching them this offers victims a little bit of solace.
