The £3 Aldi product that will leave your clothes so clean – it has won product of the year
ALDI has fast become the go-to-destination for deals, with people finding dupes for some of the best-selling beauty items.
It seems that we’ve missed one must-have item in the middle aisle though – as it will leave your laundry sparkling despite only cost £3.
If you’ve spent any time on social media, you’ll have probably seen at least one influencer gushing about items in the German supermarket.
From designer perfume dupes to low cost lip kits, Aldi seemingly has it all.
However, you might be unaware of a household essential that Which? experts agree has slipped under the radar of most shoppers.
For those who weren’t already curious, the product was named the top product of 2023 by the consumer group – beating out the Apple Watch, a Samsung sound bar and even, champagne.

Cleaning up this year was Aldi’s Almat Bio Washing Powder, with reviewers claiming it left other named brands washed up.
Explaining their decision, principal researcher Martin Pratt wrote: “Superb stain removal, colour protection that keeps whites white and not that dull eggshell trendy paint brands seem to have 600 variants of…”
He added: “…fully recyclable packaging and no ingredients known to be harmful to aquatic life are qualities that are hard to ignore.”
It’s unsurprising that the washing powder has topped the Which? list, as it came in second overall last year.
And there are even more reasons to be sold on this household staple, such as the cost.
If you weren’t already in a lather, Harry Rose, the editor of Which? magazine, has claimed that the detergent is ‘better at doing the job it’s made for than more expensive rivals’.
The consumer experts reckon that you could save as much as £30 per year, just buy switching from named brands to the Aldi alternative.
With the detergent only costing £3.39 for 2kg, you could get up to 40 washes for less than a fiver.
It’s not the only Aldi household item we have our eye on though.
Lush fans have also been racing to the checkout, as the supermarket has restocked Fabulosa’s winter angel range.
The multiple purpose cleaner is said to make your home smell exactly like Lush’s iconic scent: Snow Fairy – according to one Facebook user.
They wrote in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group: “Winter Angel fabulosa range in Aldi from £1 smells just like snow fairy.”
For those who are heading out to get their final bits before Christmas, you can also pick up a fabric freshener and room spray with the same scent for just £1 each.
For those struggling to find the coveted items in the supermarket, you can also find them in B&M but you’ll have to hurry as these wintry products are bound to sell out.
