‘We would like to distance ourselves from John Cena’ – WWE icon frozen out by EFL club after Cody Rhodes drama

JOHN CENA continues to lose support following his sensational betrayal of Cody Rhodes - with a League Two side now turning on the WWE icon.

Cena stunned wrestling fans around the globe at Elimination Chamber last Sunday by turning heel and attacking Cody Rhodes, whom he'll face in the main event of Wrestlemania 41 next month.

The future Hall of Famer attacked Rhodes following a slit-throat gesture from The Rock, who he's seemingly teamed up with.

Cena's sensational villainous turn has lost him millions of fans - including League Two promotional hopefuls Port Vale.

Vale revealed their disowning of Cena and backing of Rhodes in a viral X post.

Quoting a previous post referencing Cena, they wrote: "Following his actions this weekend, we would like to distance ourselves from @JohnCena.

"We can confirm that he will not be involved in this season's kit launch. We got you, @CodyRhodes."

Vale's hilarious tweet spread like wildfire and became the talk of social media.

One viewer commented: "His actions were disgusting."

Another said: "I’m glad the club has taken these steps."

Cena broke his silence on his stunning heel turn with a series of Instagram posts.

He posted a picture of the Grand Theft Auto cover before sharing a snap of Harvey 'Two Face' Dent from 'The Dark Knight'.

Dent, of course, famously said in the film: "You either die a hero or you live long enough to become a villain.”

He followed that up with a motivational quote, which she shared on X.

He wrote: "Have the discipline to do what needs to be done, especially when you don’t feel like it."
