People ask me what’s on my cheekbones – my drugstore makeup champion is better than Charlotte Tilbury
A BEAUTY lover was able to look fierce with a frugal drugstore dupe.
Others were also taking note of their glow-up that they had snagged for much less.
Redditor Lolarisx knew they had found a steal in the beauty buy that is similar to a product from a much higher-end brand.
"I have a few drugstore champions - among my overwhelming luxury brands stash - but the one that I can truly say is a dupe because it really is clear whose footsteps they tried to follow is Elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter," they said.
"It's not a dead-on dupe, but to me, it's better than Charlotte Tilbury HFF," they continued.
The makeup item they are referring to is the Hollywood Flawless Filter.
"It's much more a dupe for Auric Glow Lust which was also clearly inspired by the OG - Charlotte Tilbury HFF," they said.
They believed that both buys had surpassed the Charlotte Tilbury product.
"Thicker, plushier in texture," they said.
And that wasn't all.
They explained how the dupes were also less metallic but more blurring.
"Works better mixed in to and under foundation, also alone," they said.
Another feature also raised eyebrows - in a good way.
"Subtler as a pointed highlighter but definitely still glowy," they said.
"I had people who know makeup ask me what's on my cheekbone," they continued.
The affordable Elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter is available in 12 shades and sells for $14.
The glow-boosting buy is described as offering a "soft-focus" social filter effect.
It can be worn on its own, with foundation, under makeup, or even as a highlighter to "illuminate" the high points of your face - no wonder the Redditor had given it high marks.
The find also claims to be ideal for dry, oily, and combination skin.
The dupe was certainly a deal compared to the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter that sells for $49.
They were also fans of another makeup find - the Iconic London Radiance Booster.
While some people thought the item was a "dead-on" dupe for Auric Glow Lust, they had their own thoughts on the makeup matter.
