WANTING to look her best in the morning, a beauty aficionado took us through her nighttime skincare routine.
The best part is you won’t break the bank with each step.
Skincare guru Courtney Snell (@courtneysnell) stands by her motto: “Look good, feel good, do good.”
And to look her best each day and beat aging, she puts in a lot of effort.
Sharing her skincare routine in a clip, she said: “The uglier you go to sleep, the prettier you wake up.”
Although her bedtime prep involves many steps, it’s all affordable.
“I got my castor oil pack for $10 from Amazon. First things first, I’m going to put a tablespoon of castor oil on it because it needs to soak in while I do the rest of my routine.”
She then washed her face using the $15 Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Soap, and noted that if she had makeup on, she would also use the Anua $17 Cleansing Oil.
“I also lather my entire body with coconut oil in the shower.”
Once she’s out of the shower, she puts a silk cap on to protect her hair – which can be bought for $7 on Amazon – and moisturizes from her forehead to her neck and chest.
“I use Egyptian Magic.
“This stuff is gold. Anything that Cleopatra used, I’m down for,” she said of the $16 cream.
The next step involves lathering vitamin E all over her face.
“This is the best and cheapest way to use vitamin E,” she said, poking the gel capsules with a needle so that she could spread it all over her face.
“I just got mine from Amazon and I think it was like $17 for 215 capsules, and one capsule will do your whole face.”
To get the most out of the pill, she then eats the shell.
“Next, I’ll go in with a lot of castor oil. We lather it up,” she said, spreading the $40 oil all over her face and chest.
“It’s one of the best things you could put on your body.”
She then goes in with black seed oil, which she said could be bought on Amazon for $34 or at your local grocery store.
“It is one of the best things that you can put on your face. It helps with clogged pores, it’s super moisturizing, and anti-aging.”
For added hydration and skin reparation, she spreads $13 snail mucin all over.
Her next step is one she only does once a week: a snail mucin face mask.
Her favorite brand offers 10 masks for $25.
“The best part about this routine is you’ll figure out if your partner actually loves you,” she quipped, noting how ridiculous she looked.
And finally, she straps her castor oil pack onto her stomach.
“I put it on my right side over my liver. It helps with digestion, bloating, constipation, liver detoxification, inflammation, migraines, headaches.
“You could even put it over your ovaries if you have cysts on them and it will penetrate and break them up.”
Getting ready for sleep, she puts on an eye mask that will block out any light, as well as the viral mouth tape.
“That’s most important. Nose breathing helps you get the deepest, most restful sleep, I promise you,” she said, holding up the brand Niveus, which sells a roll of silicone tape for $10.
Viewers appreciated the advice but were hesitant about all the steps.
