In the show, barman Donny (played by writer Richard) gets into a brawl with stalker Martha after she smashes a bottle over his head while he’s pulling a pint.

Martha is eventually barred but only following months of daily visits to the pub, and sending thousands of emails to harass Donny.

Then a struggling comedian, Donny crosses paths with the loner ex lawyer when she walks in tearful, saying she can't afford to pay for a drink.

The sympathetic bartender offers her a cup of tea on the house - sealing her obsession with him and his fate.

Renamed 'The Heart' in the series, the creepy scenes were actually filmed in Edinburgh.

But, fans tracked down Richard's old work place, and it is famed for being Amy Winehouse's favourite establishment in North London’s trendy Camden Market.

She was last photographed at the Hawley a year before her death in 2011.

Liam Gallagher and Kate Moss were also regulars in the noughties. Nowadays rocker Yungblud can be seen ordering at the bar.

Now the Netflix show has brought the hipster tavern to a new generation of drinkers.

But don't expect staff to roll out the red carpet for Baby Reindeer fans.

One disappointed fan told The Sun: "I went in there after being gripped by the series and was hoping for a friendly chat about Baby Reindeer.

"But it seems they're sick of the attention and people turning up asking about it. As soon as I mentioned it things turned frosty and they said it had nothing to do with them.

"I ordered a coke and a cup of tea like Martha does in the show.

"It came to £6.40. No wonder she couldn't afford it!"

True story

Last week, the woman accused of being the real life Martha insisted: "I am the victim here."

She spoke to The Daily Record and told how she had received death threats from Baby Reindeer fans.
