    But Uefa’s ownership rules prevents clubs with the same “decisive influence” from competing together in the same competition.

    Ratcliffe and Ineos now have until Monday June 3 to satisfy Uefa that Nice and United can both compete in next season’s Europa League.

    Inter Milan have a strong interest in signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.

    It’s claimed that the Italian giants see the full-back as a potential replacement for Denzel Dumfries.

    However, the report suggests that Wan-Bissaka would cost just £10.2million.

  • Dortmund eye Greenwood

    The Daily Mail have claimed that Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund are in the hunt to sign Mason Greenwood.

    The 22-year-old, who was today names Getafe’s Player of the Season, is expected to leave Old Trafford permanently this summer – but the club are willing to arrange a loan if needs be.

    Dortmund’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl refused to rule out a move for Greenwood in an interview ahead of the Champions League final this weekend.

    He said: “I don’t want to talk about any rumours at the moment because it doesn’t make sense. Let’s play the final on Saturday first.

    “Of course, we have plans for next season and we have discussed many scenarios but let’s focus on Saturday and then we’ll see how we move on.

  • Maguire stays home

    Harry Maguire has opted against going on holiday in a bid to be fit for Euro 2024.

    The Manchester United defender has been named in England's 33-man provisional squad despite missing United's last five matches including the FA Cup final.

    According to the Daily Mail, Maguire has reported early for international duty ahead of Monday's friendly against Bosnia & Herzegovina.

    He was joined by team-mate Luke Shaw and Newcastle's Anthony Gordon in arriving early in Middlesbrough as they recover from injury.

  • Shaw speaks out

    Luke Shaw has hit out at critics on social media who have questioned his commitment to Manchester United.

    The left-back has been sidelined since February with a muscle injury and missed Saturday's FA Cup final victory.

    In a post on social media, Shaw wrote: "There’s nothing I want to do more than play and win with Manchester United. I don't normally react to things I see on social media but there's a lot of people questioning my loyalty to this club and asking how I am fit for England but not United.

    "The reality is I am not 100% fit for either right now but I am doing everything I can and constantly working to be. I have been at this club for 10 years through highs and lows and for anyone to question my loyalty is obviously frustrating. I appreciate I haven't updated you all with my injuries and where I'm at with my recovery but equally the most important thing to me is that we're supporting the team playing.

    "My biggest focus right now is being fit and then whatever happens this summer I will be ready. Thank you for your patience."

    There is currently no imminent decision expected on Erik ten Hag's Manchester United future, according to reports.

    Ten Hag has been linked with an Old Trafford exit despite winning the FA Cup on Sunday.

    Manchester United have reportedly given all their non-playing staff just one week to decide if they want to resign from their jobs.

    Sir Jim Ratcliffe is looking to cut costs after completing his minority takeover of the club.

    According to The Athletic, a mass email has been fired out to all staff members, bar coaches and scouts, insisting they make a decision on their futures within the next week.

    United have described it as "voluntary resignation", but those affected see it more as voluntary redundancy.

    Gareth Southgate remains committed to England amid links with Manchester United.

    The Three Lions boss' current contract expires in December and he is a reported candidate to replace Erik ten Hag if he is sacked.

    Saudi Arabian outfit Al Nassr are reportedly considering a move for Manchester United midfielder Casemiro.

    Al Nassr, the home of Cristiano Ronaldo, are one of a number of Saudi Pro League clubs that are interested in signing Casemiro, according to GOAL Brazil.

    Casemiro, 32, has struggled at Man Utd this season and looks likely to be leaving Old Trafford in the summer.

  • Greenwood hints at Getafe stay

    Mason Greenwood has hinted that he may potentially stay at Getafe after winning the club's Player of the Season award.

    The Manchester United loanee has said he is "comfortable" with Getafe.

    Speaking on winning the award, he said: "It feels amazing to receive this kind of award.

    "I wouldn't be able to get this achievement if it wasn't for my teammates and the coaching staff.

    "Everybody has done well with helping me to get this award and I want to say thank you to them.

    "I think we've done very well. We could have got some extra points here and there to try and push into European places but it hasn't been possible.

    "I feel very happy and comfortable here, it's been an amazing experience."

  • Southgate wanted 'more than anyone'

    Manchester United chiefs have reportedly identified Gareth Southgate as their number one target to replace Erik ten Hag.

    Respected journalist Miguel Delaney told Sky Sports that the Ineos bigwigs at Old Trafford wanted Southgate "more than anyone else", but have faced hurdles in getting it sorted with the Euros this summer.

    Southgate is obviously heading up England's campaign in Germany this summer and is said to have his full attention on the Three Lions for the time being.

    Delaney said: "I mean, from what I've repeatedly heard, the figure they wanted more than anyone else is Southgate, or certainly some of the key figures in INEOS want Southgate, but that's obviously very difficult this summer."

    The England legend, 38, was shown a straight red card for stamping on Portugal's Ricardo Carvalho during a quarter-final clash in Germany 18 years ago.

    The red card in the World Cup was my lowest moment in football.

    Jean-Clair Todibo has confirmed that he has held talks with Manchester United and Tottenham.

    The Nice centre-back has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and has been touted to finally make the switch this summer.

    And when asked about his future in an interview with the Telegraph, Todibo steered away from going into any detail but admitted to having conversations with United and Spurs.

    Erik ten Hag's FA Cup masterclass has made it even more difficult for Manchester United to sack him.

    Rumours continue to swirl about the Dutchman's time in Manchester coming to an end despite lifting the FA Cup with his side at the weekend.

    And he may be more likely to stay than ever now with United's FA Cup win meaning they have qualified for Europe, making it more expensive to get rid of him.

    According to The Times, their Europa League qualification has triggered a clause in Ten Hag's contract that will see him earn a higher compensation fee if he is shown the exit door.

    Manchester United are reportedly among a number of Premier League clubs interested in signing Birmingham City starlet Menzi Mazwi.

    Football Insider have claimed that the 18-year-old is attracting interest from United, Chelsea and Tottenham.

    It's said that Birmingham have offered the teenager a new three-year deal, but he is yet to put pen to paper.

    Birmingham's shock relegation could mean that Mazwi would cost as little as £300,000.

    Bundesliga duo Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig are reportedly also interested in the Welsh U19 international who is yet to make his professional debut for Birmingham.

    Chelsea have made an offer for free agent Tosin Adarabioyo according to Sky Sports.

    The defender, who is out of contract after a spell with Fulham, had been linked with both Newcastle and Manchester United.
