IT’S the most romantic day of the year – and many couples will be going all out for each other today.
But for Abbey Clancy and her husband Peter Crouch, going all out for each other once left them in a rather awkward situation.
Speaking on their podcast The Therapy Crouch this week, the married pair, who have been together since 2006, revealed how one Valentine’s Day didn’t quite go to plan.
Abbey, 39, says: “One Valentine’s Day quite a few years ago, I was head to toe in Agent Provocateur (AP), dressed to the nines, with one of the Burberry macs that Pete bought me.
“And I thought we were going to stay in a hotel…”
Peter, 44, quickly chimed in, explaining that this story is now the reason why he buys her a Burberry mac coat every year.

Abbey continues: “To my surprise, Pete had arranged a night in, and he got a chef to come to the house.
"So me and him are sitting at the table, and I’ve got the full coat on.
“Pete’s like, ‘Take your coat off,’ and I’m like, ‘Oh no, it’s a bit chilly in here.’
"And then the chef proceeded to sit with us through every course, and I couldn’t take my coat off because I literally only had AP on underneath.
"It was so awkward.”
Laughing about the situation now, Pete adds: “You should’ve told me.”
To which Abbey replies: “I know. By the end of the meal, I was stuffed, and I put the fleece dressing gown back on.”
She then adds: “But you have done some great Valentine’s.”
Abbey and Peter, who share Sophia Ruby, 12, Liberty Rose, eight, Johnny, six, and Jack, four, aren’t afraid of sharing intimate details about their relationship.
Since launching their Therapy Crouch podcast in 2023, Abbey and Peter have become even more candid about their private life.
I just don't know how long I can go on with these sexual emojis that you keep sending me
Abbey Clancy, 39
The model admitted she’d love to see Peter dressed as a sexy Viking to liven things up after getting inspired by a show about Nordic warriors.
She said: “I would love you to get jealous. The only time you got jealous was when I was watching that Viking thing.
“There's this show, The Vikings, and they are all unreal. Vikings are a thing.”
She added: "When I watched that show. They're just cool. Even the girls are as hard as nails. But hot as anything."
Peter, however, protested that he’d look more like Rodney Trotter, confusing Vikings with Gladiators.
He joked to his wife: “You started going to me, ‘Why don't you be like a Viking?’
“Have you seen Only Fools And Horses? Have you seen when Rodney dresses up as a Gladiator?"
Abbey also called Peter “vile” for the cheeky emoji code he sends when he’s in the mood and admitted their alone time usually happens when the kids are at school.
But she claimed his messages completely kill the vibe.
She said: "I just don't know how long I can go on with these sexual emojis that you keep sending me.
I'm just letting you know, I'm just putting my cards on the table
Peter Crouch, 44
“If the kids go to school and he hears me like, put the key in the door, I'm in and no one's in the house, I just get a beaver and an aubergine emoji text.
"I'm not even gonna say the last one but you can imagine what it is."
Peter confirmed: "There's three emojis."
Abbey described the third one: "I've got a bit of hydration in there. How vile is that? Am I supposed to go, 'Oh yeah, now I'm bang up for it'."

She added: "Do you think you're going to get lucky with those messages?"
Peter replied: "I'm just letting you know, I'm just putting my cards on the table."
How to save money on Valentine's Day
ADELE Cooke, a senior consumer reporter at The Sun, explains how to save money on Valentine's Day.
If you're not careful Valentine's Day can end up hitting your wallet.
I explain how to avoid the traps.
AVOID THE SET MENU
As February 14 falls on a Friday this year, consider going out for a meal on Saturday instead.
This is because many restaurants insist that you must order a set menu on Valentine's Day, which can be very expensive.
Usually this is not the case on other days.
Some of the set menu items may also be on the regular dinner menu, so you can still order them without paying a premium.
LOVE IS...FINDING A DISCOUNT CODE
If you do want to go out for dinner on Valentine's Day then look for restaurant deals on The Fork.
This website shows you all the restaurants with special offers and deals in your area.
If you're eating in this year, you could save money with one of the dine-in-for-two options above.
Check the individual cost of each item in the deal to ensure you're making the biggest saving.
Keep an eye out for discounts and vouchers in the run up to February 14.
Some companies run special promotions in the lead up to the big day.
Check websites such as Groupon, which offers special dining options or experiences.
DON'T OVERSPEND
It can be easy to fall into the trap of overspending when it comes to spoiling a loved one.
But if you do, you'll be causing yourself long term financial pain.
I'm sure if you have a chat with your partner and explain what your budget is before February 14th then you can both be on the same page and you'll avoid disappointing them.
