Heartbreak as student dies at school with cops probing ‘unexplained’ tragedy
POLICE are investigating the unexplained tragic death of a student at a school.
Emergency crews rushed to Hartpury College in Gloucester at around 11.25am on Friday, following the tragedy.
School bosses then later informed parents and guardians of other pupils of the death in a touching message.
While the student's death is currently being treated as unexplained, it is not believed to be suspicious.
Gloucestershire Police said the student's next of kin have been informed, as has the coroner.
In a statement, cops said: "Police were called to Hartpury College in Gloucester shortly after 11.25am on Friday morning (6 June) following the report of the death of a student.

"The next of kin and the coroner have been informed. Officers are supporting the family at this time.
"Officers continue to carry out enquiries into the death which, while being treated as unexplained, is not currently believed to be suspicious."
Principal Professor Andy Collop sent an email to parents and guardians of students at Hartpury College on Friday, informing them of the tragic death of a student.
In the moving message, he wrote: "It is with great sadness we share the news of the passing earlier today of a Hartpury College student.
"Our thoughts are with the student’s family, friends, and the members of staff who have supported them during their time with us."
The school also issued a statement confirming the student's death, reports Gloucestershire Live.
Hartpury College said: "We are deeply saddened to confirm that a Hartpury College student passed away on Friday (6 June).
"Our thoughts are with the student’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
"We are supporting those in our community who have been affected and kindly ask that the privacy of all those involved be respected.
"We can confirm that the death is not believed to be suspicious, and the safety of students and staff has not been at risk at any time."
