‘I looked better than the bride!’ Woman brags about wedding outfit that ‘got everyone talking’ but for the wrong reasons

EVERY woman wants to feel special on her wedding day, with some even dreaming of their big day since they were little kids.

One bride wouldn’t have that opportunity though, after a relative wore a wedding dress to her ceremony – and later bragged about it online.

It is common knowledge that you should never wear white to a wedding, so we can’t understand why this woman decided to break with tradition.

Let alone boast about it later in an Amazon review (yes, you read that right).

Originally shared in the r/weddingshaming forum on Reddit, it showed several photos on the unnamed woman in the controversial gown.

Looking every bit the blushing bride, she wore a white body-con dress which hugged her curves and had an exaggerated sweetheart neckline.

If that weren’t attention grabbing enough, it even came with an embellished cape with silver diamantes clustered around shoulders.

While most of us would feel too embarrassed to attend the nuptials, the US woman later joked about ‘looking better than the bride’ as she review the dress on Amazon.

Adding a laughing emoji, she wrote: “We let’s just say I wore the dress to my brother-in-law’s wedding and I looked better than the bride and people started talking.

“This dress is AMAZING [and] I will be buying another colour…I love it….I got my dress perfectly fit and on time for my event.”

Unsurprisingly, the internet had a few things to say about the wedding attire – and none of them were positive.

One pointedly commented: “These women always go off about how ‘everyone was talking about me’ like they think people are saying good things about their bs.

“Must be kinda nice to be that delusional.”

Another joked: “Oh, I'm sure people TALKED all right.”

Others wondered why the US woman was so desperate to steal the spotlight during her relative’s big day – especially with the potential fallout.

“The only woman that needs be to the focus of attention is THE BRIDE!!! This is so trashy, so sad,” complained a third.

Meanwhile, some Redditors came up with innovate solutions about how to deal with the unwanted wedding attire.

“I honestly think depriving these people of the attention they crave is the best way to handle it (presuming it’s intentional), [is] not acknowledging it whatsoever,” suggested a fourth.

They continued: “Whether they get positive or negative attention, they feel they’ve won. If they get nothing, they go home disappointed and dejected.”

However, others weren’t quite so diplomatic with their approach.

“This dress, I hope, has a chocolate mousse stain somewhere very evident to everyone who watches her walk away,” joked a fifth.

Another even recalled how they’d dealt with a similar situation at another family wedding.

They explained: “My husband’s aunts (mother side) wore white too! My aunts and the rest of his aunts talked so badly about them (in a not-so-subtle manner) that they didn't leave their table in the reception.” (Ouch!)

We wonder how we would have dealt with this selfish guest.
