‘Am I the only one just realising this?’ gasp Love Island fans as star’s super-famous brother-in-law is revealed

LOVE Island fans are only just realising that Sophie Piper has a very famous brother-in-law.

Sophie, 24, is the sister of This Morning star Rochelle Humes, 34, but grew up separately and were not in contact until the Islander was 18.

The Saturdays pop star Rochelle is also married to JLS singer Marvin Humes, 38.

But not all fans were aware of the family connection.

One shocked viewer wrote: "Marvin Humes is Sophie's brother-in-law. Have I been living under a rock?"

A second posted: "I was so shocked when I saw Marvin I clocked jus now," while a third stunned person shared: "I had no idea Marvin was related to Sophie."

While another added: "Love how some people are only finding this out," with laughing emojis.

Rochelle was just three years old when her dad – Mark Piper – left her and her mum Roz Wiseman.

He went on to have three children – Sophie, Lili and Jake – with his new partner.

Remarkably, former Love Island star Kem went to school with Lili and he decided to approach Rochelle at a party after he rose to fame.

This Morning star Rochelle, explained on Giovanna Fletcher's Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast: “I've never told anyone this before.

"Two years ago, I was at our management's Christmas party and Love Island's Kem was there.

“He was chatting away and said, ‘I got to talk to you... as soon as I became a celeb, I promised my friend Lili that I would talk to you as she's your sister on your dad's side.’

“I knew of her and met up with her when I was five, but it was so complicated as they were a lot younger and my dad wasn't involved.”

Sophie has also opened up about getting back in touch, telling the MailOnline, Sophie said: "There was a period where we weren't in contact.

"It was weird growing up not knowing Rochelle but since we have spoken we speak every day so it is nice all of us being in each other's lives now.

"My middle sister Lili went to school with Kem so that's how we know him. Obviously he was at the same school as me. It's funny how it's all linked together."

Rochelle and Sophie look almost identical and fans are often left gobsmacked when they post pictures together.

Speaking about her sister going on Love Island All Stars. Rochelle said: "[she] brought fun and flirtiness to series six, and now she’s returning to the Villa to find the one."

And chatting before she entered the villa, Sophie said about her family: “They are going to die seeing me back on their TV screens. It’s going to be a shock.

"They got so obsessed with the show the first time round."
