I live in an abandoned school which people are convinced is haunted but the rent is SO cheap and my ‘house’ is MASSIVE
WITH rent prices being expensive, many people are getting creative with their homes in order to save money.
One woman shared how she lives in a huge abandoned school for a tiny sum of money, and it’s great for parties and has a Jacuzzi.
YouTuber Denieess, who works as a gamer in the Netherlands, gave a tour around her unusual home, which she claims might be haunted.
In a video, she explained: “Today I am going to show you my house tour, I live in an old elementary school.
“I live through a company that prevents people from squatting in houses or empty buildings.
“This place was empty for a long time and the plan for this building is to throw it all down and start again from scratch.”

She said that the plans may take a lot of time, so buildings put people in to prevent squatters taking up residence.
The gamer explained: “I pay a very little amount of rent, they don’t even cost it rent, a little fee for living in this place.
“This is a very affordable way to live on your own without spending hundreds and hundreds of euros on a rental property.
“I do not rent the entire property, I rent two spots in the property.”
The woman then kickstarted her tour and showed off her shower, although she admitted she prefers to shower at friends’ houses as it’s “disgusting.”
She gets an entire hallway to herself and can use all of the rooms there, including one she has for a bedroom, another for kitchen and living and a toilet.
Despite the big classroom feel, she showed how she made her living space more cosy with plants, lights and teddies.
Some of the rooms in her hallway are empty and abandoned, and she showed one saying: “I think this used to be someone’s office.”
The woman also showed her toilet, explained: “this was the teacher’s toilet, confirmed by one of the ex students who went here.”
One of her favourite parts is the “old PE room” which she said is perfect for secret parties.
However, the best part for her was outside.
Denieess said: “This is the backyard area but the most exciting part is our Jacuzzi room.
“This is what made our place pretty special, all together we bought a Jacuzzi.”
Although the home has saved her a lot of money, she did admit: “It’s fine for a little time, but after a while you want a real house I guess.”

The UK has similar schemes where people live as property guardians in vacant buildings.
There were estimated to be around 5,000 to 7,000 property guardians in 2018, according to the Telegraph.
