A RAPPER who went viral for a remix of the children’s song Baby Shark has been shot and killed.
Michael Robinson, known as Ralan Styles, was gunned down in Columbus, Ohio after a suspect allegedly tried to rob his chain.
Police said a man tried to steal the artist's chain before shots were fired after a scuffle.
Cops arrested Mahamood Hassan, 24, and he now faces a murder charge, per The Columbus Dispatch.
Hassan initially fled the scene of the shooting, but cops arrested him a few blocks away.
But, he was identified as a suspect after witnesses gave police information about his clothes and appearance, according to court docs.
Police have not revealed the reasons that led up to the shooting.
Robinson's brother, known as Lil Goat, has been left heartbroken.
"'Not my lil brother man. I'm still waiting for you to call me and tell me this whole thing is a joke," he wrote on Instagram.
"My heart is f**king broken, I'll never be the same."
He spoke about how the pair used to rap while in school.
"We went from rapping at the lunch table together in middle school, to becoming superstars," he said.
"We slept on the floor together, we ate together, we fought together, signed our first deal together.
"I love you bro, and as long as I'm alive you'll never die."
Tributes have been paid to the rapper.
Pal Jared Krumm posted on Instagram: "We lost you way too soon.
"There was never a dull moment with you whether we were in the studio, chilling in Jake's basement, or even riding in the car to McDonalds."
Krumm said the rapper had an energy that wouldn't be forgotten.
Robinson's remix of Baby Shark was released in 2022 and has been watched millions of times.
He had more than 100,000 subscribers on YouTube and produced more than 150 videos.

Robinson also produced content alongside Lil Goat and Einer Bankz.
