M25 closed after horror crash ‘involving a pedestrian’ – with standstill queues to last hours

THE M25 has been closed after a horror crash "involving a pedestrian" - with standstill queues expected to last hours.

The section between junctions three and four near Orpington, Kent will remain closed in the clockwise direction "into the afternoon", according to National Highways.

The collision occurred near junction 4 just before 9.45am this morning, said Kent Police.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We were called at 9:45 GMT, following a collision involving a pedestrian on the clockwise M25 near junction 4.

"Officers are in attendance, along with other emergency services, and the road is expected to remain closed for several hours."

Drivers attempting to take the route will be turned around.
