Saka feels squad can take major step
Speaking after their win against PSG in midweek, Bukaya Saka discussed their goals for the season.
The England winger feels this squad is ready to take the next step and win the Premier League this campaign.
Arsenal need to learn from the disappointment of finishing runners-up to Man City and use that as motivation to go one step further in their pursuit of silverware.
Boss confident of ability to perform
Coming into the match against Southampton, the Arsenal manager was asked if he feels his side can overcome any challenge this season:
That’s what we are trying to do. We had a really difficult fixture list after the international break, and on top of that a lot of unpredictable things happened in terms of injuries and players not being available but we adapted. We looked forward and we competed really well in all games. For sure, there are aspects that we have to still improve but we are showing a lot of consistency and adaptability in the way that we can play and win games. I think these are all very positive signs but it's very early in the season still.

Pressure mounts on Martin
Southampton are still looking for their first win since returning to the Premier League.
Russell Martin was left infuriated with his side in their last game as they were played off the park by Bournemouth in a south coast derby.
Despite a much improved second half performance, The Saints suffered their fifth defeat in their opening six top-flight matches.
Arteta looking to finish period on a high
With the international break looming, Mikel Arteta will want to ensure that his side maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
The Gunners followed up an injury-time win over Leicester last weekend with an impressive Champions League victory over PSG.
After finishing runners-up in the previous two seasons, Arteta feels his side are well equipped to go that extra step and win the title this season.
Welcome to Arsenal vs Southampton
The Gunners welcome Southampton to The Emirates this afternoon looking to build on their unbeaten start to the season against the newly promoted Saints.
Mikel Arteta is having a bit of a crisis in the full-back department with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kieran Tierney definitely ruled out for this game while Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Justin Timber are all doubtful.
Martin Odegaard is still out injured but on a more positive note Mikel Merino came on for his Arsenal debut in midweek and will be pushing for a starting place ahead of Thomas Partey.
Kai Havertz is looking to become the first Gunner since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in 2019 to score in five straight games at The Emirates.
Southampton have their issues also as defender Jack Stephens has been banned for a further two games for using insulting language after being sent off against Man Utd, taking his total suspension up to five games.
Gavin Bazunu and Kamaldeen Sulemana remain out of contention through injury and it seems the game has come too soon for Will Smallbone as he works his way back to full fitness.
Former Arsenal player Aaron Ramsdale returns for his homecoming, as he will face his old team for the first time since leaving North London to join The Saints in the summer.
