BBC Ghosts boss reveals hidden meaning in final ever episode – but did you spot it?
BBC Ghosts boss have revealed a hidden meaning in the last episode - but did you notice it?
The Christmas special took us on an emotional rollercoaster as Alison and Bynoe bid farewell to their haunted home and moved on.
In the episode, Alison and Mike brought baby Mia back to the Button house to meet the rest of the clan.
Mike's mum, Betty, played by Sutara Gayle, accompanied the couple to help them with the newborn.
Still, things took an unexpected turn when she saw one of the ghosts covering the baby on the baby monitor, and called on a vicar to perform an ‘exorcism’.
Fortunately, the vicar's prayers did not affect the ghosts, who continued to live in the house in harmony.

Alison and her band of ghosts eventually devised a plan to finally get rid of Betty, which was accomplished after Alison told her to leave.
In the Ghosts Christmas special 2023 trailer, Mia's name was finally confirmed.
And fans might be wondering if there's any special meaning behind the name Mia in the Ghosts world or to the show's creators.
Now, co-creator Mathew Baynton has revealed what it could be.
He said: "We literally just sort of came up with a few [names] until we had Mia and thought, 'Oh, yeah, that feels about right,' and then it was only way, way afterwards that I realised it's a Mike and Alison compound."
Fans can determine whether the combination of names, Mi(ke) and A(lison), was a random happening in the Ghosts universe or a deliberate decision by the characters themselves.
The co-creator added: "If we were cleverer writers, that would have been the reason why we came up with it, but it wasn’t at all."
It comes after a star of Ghosts has revealed her first new project after the sitcom was axed.
Ghosts is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
