WWE WrestleMania 41 LIVE RESULTS: Start time TONIGHT, match card, winners as John Cena headlines – updates

  • Jey Uso wins World Heavyweight Championship

Much to no one's surprise, Uso pulls it off and wins his first ever world title.

The Yeet Man went full beast mode as he delivered two Super Kicks, a Spear and three Uso Splashes.

And then he did the unthinkable as he locked in his opponent's signature Sleeper Hold and made Gunther TAP OUT for the first time ever!

  • Bayley OUT

Bayley will MISS WrestleMania 41, after picking up a shoulder injury.

She was set to tag with Intercontinental champion Lyra Valkyria against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on night 2 of the show.

However, she will miss the show, and Lyra had 24 hours to find a new partner...

  • Waldrobe malfunction

WWE star Jade Cargill had an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction during WrestleMania 41 on Saturday night.

Cargill was forced to readjust her outfit during her grudge match against rival Naomi in Las Vegas after her top slipped down.

The Florida-born star saw her top loosen on multiple occasions during the fight, unfortunately showing off more than she would have liked.

Her striking gold outfit caught the attention of the crowd, but didn't seem to serve its intended purpose of protecting her modesty.

Cargill did well to brush off the blunder and go on to win in her solo debut at WrestleMania.

  • A shocking end to night 1

ICYMI, night 1 ended with a SHOCKING Seth Rollins victory in the triple threat.

The trio went back and forth between each other all match long.

At one point, Roman Reigns almost gave in to Seth Rollins, with the duo setting up for a Shield powerbomb on CM Punk, but Reigns landed a right on Rollins, and sent them both through a table.

Paul Heyman was always going to have a say, but he had his say in a big way.

At first, he slid a chair to CM Punk, but hit him with a low blow, before handing the chair to Roman Reigns.

Heyman then watched Reigns set up to hit Rollins with the chair, before going low on the Tribal Chief.

Then, Heyman handed the chair, and the win, to Rollins, as he struck Reigns, and got the three count for the victory.

  • Tiffy Time

Tiffany Stratton will forever be known as the only champion who retained at WrestleMania 41 night 1. (We can't see that catching on, to be honest).

Stratton has always drawn comparisons to Charlotte Flair, but Stratton proved that it is indeed, Tiffy Time, and beat the 14-time champion Flair.

Her win meant the defending champions on night 1 came out with a record of 1-3, with LA Knight, Gunther, and the War Raiders all dropping their belts.

It also means the Royal Rumble winners only have a 50% conversion rate this year.

Jey Uso managed to convert his Royal Rumble win to a world title, beating Gunther, but Charlotte Flair could not convert hers.

Although Flair lost, it would be silly to count her out, Tiffany Stratton knows she will be back at some point.

  • Impressive turnout

Night 1 witnessed an impressive turnout with 61,467 fans in attendance.

The event also attracted numerous celebrities, including NFL star George Kittle, musicians Jelly Roll and Lil Yachty, UFC head Dana White, actor Stephen Amell, and former UFC champion Israel Adesanya.

  • Randy in action?

Night 2 will see Randy Orton appear at WrestleMania.

However, we have NO idea who his opponent is.

Could it be Nick Aldis? Rusev? Someone else?

There is only one way to find out, tune in to night 2 to see.

  • Retribution for Cargill

Jade Cargill missed a lengthy spell of her career, thanks to Naomi.

The former Smackdown Women's champion Naomi ATTACKED Cargill last year, and sided with Bianca Belair in her absence.

That was, until Cargill returned at Elimination Chamber, and revealed the truth to the world.

After waiting oh so long to get her hands on Naomi, tonight, Jade Cargill got the retribution she was craving, and BEAT Naomi for a win at WrestleMania.

  • WrestleMania 41 results

Here’s a little update of all the results from night one of WrestleMania 41:

    • Jey Uso def. World Heavyweight Champion Gunther
    • The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) def. World Tag Team Champions The War Raiders (Erik and Ivar)
    • Jade Cargill def. Naomi
    • El Grande Americano def. Rey Fenix
    • Jacob Fatu def. US Champion LA Knight
    • WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton def. Charlotte Flair
    • Seth Rollins def. CM Punk and Roman Reigns
  • The New champs

The New Day are undoubtedly one of, if not the greatest tag team WWE has ever seen.

BUT, since Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston's shocking betrayal of Big E, they have been not so popular with the WWE universe.

However, that did not stop them walking out of WrestleMania as the new WWE World Tag Team champions.

They cheated to win, but the referee missed it, so they will not care at all.

  • Major WrestleMania return tease

A former WWE superstar - currently wrestling in AEW - teased a surprise return at WrestleMania 41.

Mercedes Mone, who used to perform as Sasha Banks, played with the idea of appearing on Sunday at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Mone suggested she will be the one to replace Bayley, who was pulled out of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match.

However, The Boss was obviously joking as he is contracted with AEW.

Bayley was set to link up with Women's Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria and challenge titleholders Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

However, some argued Mone's message actually urged The Role Model to give her a call in order to switch to AEW and make money together in Tony Khan's promotion.

  • Potential Randy Orton opponents

Randy Orton is set to face a mystery opponent tonight on night two of WrestleMania 41.

Orton was supposed to battle Kevin Owens but the Canadian bruiser had to withdraw from WrestleMania to undergo neck surgery.

Owens' potential replacements include active WWE stars, like Solo Sikoa.

There is also the chance of British superstar and current SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, who suffered an RKO at the hands of The Viper.

And let's not forget returning stars, like Rusev and Aleister Black who have rejoined WWE from AEW.

  • Fatu's rise

Jacob Fatu arrived in WWE as the enforcer for Solo Sikoa's Bloodline, but now he arguably is a bigger star than Sikoa.

Sikoa came up short in his feud with Cody Rhodes last summer, but Fatu delivered on his promise of bringing gold to the New Bloodline.

In fact, he did not even need a helping hand from the group.

Fatu beat two-time United States champion LA Knight for his strap, and won his first title in WWE.

  • What the cameras didn't show

After Netflix's broadcast of WrestleMania 41 came to an end there was still footage fans didn't see.

Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman shook hands as they headed to the back and the latter raised the former's hand in victory.

Then Roman Reigns and CM Punk cut a very frustrated figure as they were left in absolute shock while sitting in the ring.

Punk went on to kiss the mat before making his way to the back.

  • Paul Heyman betrayal

Paul Heyman made history at WrestleMania 41 as he put together one of the biggest shockers in the history of the Showcase of the Immortals.

Heyman linked up with CM Punk in the main event of WrestleMania during night one of the wrestling extravaganza at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Punk took on Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in a heated Triple Threat Match that saw the famous manager cutting a very conflicted figure at ringside.

That is because the ECW legend had been aligned with Reigns for the past five years and was a catalyst behind his recent four-year world title reign that made him the longest-reigning champion of the modern era.

However, Heyman reunited with The Best in the World, who cashed in on a favor that was owed to him when he helped Reigns' team win at Survivor Series in November and asked The Wiseman to link up with him again at Mania after 11 years.

But he ultimately betrayed both Punk and Reigns to join forces with Rollins

  • A main event rise

Jey Uso has risen from tag team champion to World Heavyweight champion.

The rise of the Tribal Chief also coincided with the rise of Main Event Jey Uso, who has gone from strength to strength in recent years.

He shocked the world, and picked up the Intercontinental championship last year, and won the Royal Rumble this year.

After eliminating John Cena last, he certainly deserved his shot.

Uso made Gunther tap, and is the NEW World Heavyweight champion.

He shared a heart-warming moment in the ring with brother and twin Jimmy Uso.

  • Jey Uso reaction

When asked about his family and their rich world title history, Jey simply said: "my turn."

The Royal Rumble winner beat Gunther for his world title, and he went on to add: "ain't a damn thing sunk in.

    "I love it.

    "YEET!"
