But she faced intense backlash from viewers over her connections with Callum Jones and Tom Clare.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun about the reaction, Georgia said: "I felt like the most hated woman in the country. I had no clue it would be that bad.

"I’m 25 and I wanted to meet the right person for me, and the only way to do that was to get to know people.

"I don’t see the boys receiving the hate that I did. It’s actually mostly women that have been trolling me and I wouldn’t have expected that It’s all really confusing and hard for me to get my head around."

Georgia was revealed to have been cracking on with Toby, 24, behind Callum's back during the PDA awards - a twist on the classic Movie Night.

She also left eventual winner Molly Smith unimpressed when she was seen to be interesting in getting to know Tom, 24.

But Georgia has insisted she hasn't been the only one to suffer from the reaction from outraged fans - and Love Island bosses even tried to prepare her for what awaited her on the outside.

She said: "I had a feeling I would get some stick when I got out but never did I know that the trolling would be so intense.

"I’ve had death threats, my family and friends have had death threats and I feel slightly responsible for that.

"I had a gut feeling after the PDA awards ceremony about the backlash that was brewing on the outside. I didn’t have therapy in the villa but when I came out, the producers prepared me and told me about the stick I had had."

And the backlash is affecting Georgia every day as she admits to worrying about leaving the house after being trolled so much online.

She added: "I feel anxious when I leave the house. I’m always thinking, will anyone say anything to me?

"I’m determined to still live my life and I know I signed up to be in the public eye. I know I’m controversial and I’m never going to please everyone, but I didn’t expect this to be so intense."
