My donut tree is the only way to serve dessert this Christmas, it’s so cute and easy, the cones cost $3 from Amazon
A DIY pro has revealed how to make her donut tree for Christmas.
She said it's a cute and easy way to serve dessert on the holidays, and the cones are super affordable.
TikToker Shannon Doherty (@athomewithshannon) posted a video to share her creation with her followers.
In the caption, she wrote that donut trees were "the only way to serve dessert this holiday."
"Save this cute and easy idea," Shannon added. "Love how they turn out and can do lots of fun designs."
So what is a donut tree exactly?

Shannon starts with a styrofoam cone, which can be purchased via Amazon. A package of six cones costs $18, or $3 per cone.
The TikToker didn't say if she made the pastry by hand, but the donut holes can be purchased at most grocery stores.
The influencer starts the project by wrapping the foam in plastic wrap.
Next, Shannon sticks the toothpicks into the foam. She leaves about an inch in diameter around each toothpick.
Then she places each donut hole onto the toothpick.
The rest of the hack is where Shannon's creativity comes into play.
She sprinkles some of the dessert cones with powdered sugar.
Shannon also likes to decorate them so it looks like cranberries with leaves are in between each donut.
Other items fellow DIYers can add to the dessert tree are twisty strawberry lollipops, faux gumdrops, and flower-shaped candies.
People in the influencer's comments section loved her Christmas trick.
"Omg how cute is that omg," one person wrote. "I need to make it."
"Stop it right now," a second said.
"If I had family here where I live I would definitely do this," a third added.
