Disgraced pop star Gary Glitter ordered to pay half a million pounds to woman he abused

Gary Glitter has been ordered by a High Court judge to pay £508, 800 to one of the women he abused.

The disgraced singer, whose real name is Paul Gadd, was jailed for 16 years in 2015 for sexually abusing three school girls between 1975 and 1980.

The 79-year-old was automatically released in February last year, but was recalled to jail after breaching his licence conditions.
