Humphries, 30, averaged a superb 100.2 and hit over 50 per cent of his doubles.

Searle could have made it trickier for the Leeds star as he missed TEN attempts at doubles.

Humphries raced into a 3-0 lead which carried him onto victory.

Searle had chances to win legs but missed a chance to finish on 112 as well as 56 as Humphries extended the lead to 6-0.

Following that, the 2024 World Champion cruised to the whitewash win.

Searle had one more chance to win a leg but missed a dart to make it 8-1, to which Humphries punished to make it nine before winning.

After the final dart was thrown, Humphries embraced his buddy with both of them able to break a smile.

Speaking after the game, Humphries admitted that beating his "best mate" in that manner was not a nice feeling and claimed it "crushes you inside".
