‘Christmas is ruined’ shoppers fume as they battle with new eco friendly wrapping paper seals that ‘waste so much time’
GETTING prepared for Christmas can be stressful enough.
But people are getting even more worked up this festive season, and it's all because of a new eco-friendly seal that many shops have put on their wrapping paper rolls this year.
Althea took to TikTok to share a video of herself battling to open a roll of red paper, as she added: "Christmas is ruined!"
"Whose brilliant idea was this?" she raged.
"You've absolutely ruined Christmas."
"What is this?!"

"It's not even Tesco, it's Card Factory. Oh, my God!" Althea concluded.
And other people in the comments section insisted they shared Althea's frustrations about the paper.
"I got proper rage trying to open this!" one wrote.
"I was fuming when I noticed after I bought it," another added.
"Nearly ruined the whole roll trying to get it off, was shouting my head off!"
"Literally ruined wrapping for me," a third commented.
"Morrisons was the same with there wrapping papers," someone else wrote.
"I work for Card Factory and honestly…. This is not the greatest idea to come from that department," another said.
"This ruined my Xmas, stressed me out buy a 3m roll end up with about 1m left," someone else wrote.
"They’re all like it this year and it’s driving me insane!" another added.
"I work at card factory n these do my proper head in," someone else said.
Others defended the new seal, with many insisting the rolls have been made longer to compensate.
"Tesco is £1.50 for 6 metres and they give you 11 cm for wastage," one wrote.
"It clearly says you get an extra circumference of paper instead of plastic wrap," another added.
"You're not supposed to use the bit you ripped, it's extra!"

As a third insisted: "These are easy to open! Am I the only one!?
