Food fan Harrison Webb explained that if you want the crispiest spuds, you’ll need to ditch your oven.

Instead, Harrison recommends using an air fryer to get super tasty roast potatoes.

Showing off his simple recipe on social media, Harrison shared a clip with the caption “Air fryer roast potatoes are actually surprisingly worth it.”

He then said: “This is how you make the crispiest air fryer roast potatoes.

“Start with cutting your potatoes with edges like this.

“Rinse under cold water and drain them.

“Add in a sprig of rosemary. Throw a few sprigs in and some salt.

“We wanna cook these until they are soft enough to pierce with a knife.

“Drain them, give them a shake, and then they'll break up a little bit.”

Once the potatoes were cooked, he added: “[Add] two tablespoons of goose fat. If you want these to be vegetarian or vegan, vegetable oil is a good neutral oil to use.

“Now just coat these all in the oil - into the air fryer for 20 minutes at 190.”

Harrison then checked his potatoes, as he beamed: “Yo! They're looking good. That's really good for 20 minutes.

“We're gonna put them back in for another 20 minutes.”

After 40 minutes of cooking time, Harrison admired his spuds and claimed: “I'm genuinely in shock.”

He then explained: “Back in, same temperature, 15 minutes.”

Once the potatoes had cooked for a total of 55 minutes, Harrison continued: “These are actually spot on.

“Top with rosemary salt. Look how fire they look.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @harrisonwebb97, has clearly impressed many, as at the time of writing, it had amassed 543,100 views.

Social media users were open-mouthed at Harrison’s roast potato tutorial and many were eager to express this in the comments.

One person said: “UNREAL!!”

Another added: “These look amazing! I’m going to try this.”

Meanwhile, a third commented: “Made them tonight and they were perfect.”
