The 30p ingredient you need to banish stubborn mould from grout in minutes
A SAVVY mum has shared her go-to hack to banish mould from the bathroom.
Most of us are struggling to keep condensation and mould at bay in our homes now the weather has gotten cold.
Thankfully, one cleaning whizz has just the hack to get mould off grout in just minutes.
Writing on The Plumbette website, the cleaning enthusiast shared her experience after using a certain fruit to treat discolouration between her bathroom tiles.
“I had noticed that the outer rim of our bath in the girls' bathroom had started to grow mould in the grout and I thought I’d give it a squeeze of lemon juice to see if it would get rid of the mould," she wrote on her blog.
“When it comes to natural cleaners I have had mixed results. I have tried the whole bicarb soda and vinegar action and it’s not a cleaning routine I’ve maintained.”

"Sometimes it’s cost me more than the Dettol or Spray and Wipe that I use because I often shake a whole box of soda in one cleaning product.”
Instead, the mum decided to cut one lemon and squeezed the juice along the grout, letting the liquid sit for 10 minutes.
“I used a damp cloth to clean away the juice and most of the mould went and the grout was a lot whiter than it was before," she explained.
While it worked far better than bicarbonate of soda - and cheaper, the more stubborn areas didn't come up as easily.
“Unfortunately, there were still mould marks in the silicone section which means the mould is in the silicone and the only way to get rid of it is to remove that silicone and re-apply around that the bath," she added.
You can buy a lemon for as cheap as 30p in Tesco saving you money from buying regular cleaning products.
The citric acid is great for removing discolouration.
Some cleaning experts recommend adding a small amount of bicarb to the lemon juice to create a paste on the grout.
This will act as a scrub to take off tougher mould spots.
