‘You won’t catch me in the water now’, shocked swimmers vow after massive ‘shark’ fin spotted just metres off UK shore
A SHOCKED swimmer vowed that 'you won't catch me in the water now' after a massive 'shark fin' was spotted just metres off the UK shore.
David Rogers spotted a large shark fin while out walking his dog in Hook, Southampton.
David initially assumed he was the victim of a prankster wearing a fake shark fin.
But he then began to realise that it was a real-life shark encounter.
Speaking to the Daily Echo, David claimed the incident reminded him of the 70s shark movie Jaws.
He said: "I just thought: 'I'm going to need a bigger boat. I'm certainly not going skinny dipping anymore, I will tell you that."

David said the creature was around 15 to 20 metres away from the shore, where it hovered in the water.
David told his partner Vicky about the encounter when he arrived home.
The pair then carried out research, before contacting Vicky's dad Richard Cannon, 75, who is an avid wildlife photographer.
David and Vicky know believe he spotted a basking shark rather than a man eating Great White or Orca.
Basking Sharks measure around 8m in length and can be found in most British waters.
These creatures are passive and pose no danger to humans most of the time.
However, due to their enormous size and rough skin, it is always best to avoid a close encounter.
David said: "It was right where Southampton Water goes into the Solent, so it must have been there swimming and came a bit closer to shore."
Vicky added: "I'm not a huge fan of the sea because of the things normally swimming in it - but you certainly won't catch me in it now."
